On Sunday, Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), introduced the album 'Sangh Geet', a compilation of songs associated with the organization. He described this album as a tribute to the motherland.
During the event held in Nagpur, Bhagwat addressed the gathered audience, which included Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The 'Sangh Geet' album features 25 songs performed by renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan, who sang ten of these tracks during the event.
Praising the essence behind the songs, Bhagwat remarked, 'The Sangh Geet reflects dedication to the motherland and is a product of life's sacrifices. These songs emerge from the vivid experiences of the volunteers.'
He noted that the RSS possesses a vast collection of songs, estimated to be between 25,000 and 30,000, that resonate with every Indian. Bhagwat emphasized that the essence of these songs lies in the spirit of dedication, and identifying their creators can often be challenging. He added that singing the Sangh Geet is no simple task, and Mahadevan performed them with the heart of a true volunteer.
Gadkari referred to the launch of the Sangh Geet as a historic moment, stating that these songs would serve as a source of inspiration for patriotism. Fadnavis remarked that each Sangh Geet is profoundly inspiring and imparts valuable lessons for living life.
